Two Peas, One pod

Jasmine Lugan

Your smile.

Contagious to anyone who sees you.

I feel whole for the first time ever.

Here and there, laughs and giggles, running at night with not a single care.

My happiness grew every day.

There you are beaming with light, not seeing one person in sight.

We were crazy, dancing in the streets, meeting at 1:00 in the morning.

Eating cookies in your kitchen and posing to the camera.

The park, the central place for fun, hide and seek we would play, running to bushes to be found by none.

Goofing around in school, sharing earbuds during homeroom.

Sitting on the bus rapping to Bhad Bhabie, feeling like the best version of us.

I look back on our memories and feel so glad you were there.

You never once made me feel bare.

Even though you are 3,000 miles away you are still my best friend even today.

One day we will see each other again with both of our faces turning bright cherry red.

I love you so much and will always be here even though you may not feel near.
